Section 2 ~ Nutrition

Introduction.

Understanding nutrition is vital to the ability to help your demographic, understanding their emotions around food and drink and their own personal barriers is essential to helping them find a sustainable way of living whilst getting results.

It’s no use to set a calorie goal and throw them a food plan if they cant adhere. We must endeavour to educate them as much as possible when it comes to food and drink, lowering their anxiety’s around whats deemed “good” and “bad” and give them the resources to make better decisions towards their health.

Like the great Paul Check explained, food is information. So the information we put into our bodies is essential for long term health and wellness.

Your job as a personal trainer, coach and educator is to facilitate nutritional programming on a person to person basis, moving them closer to success.

Contents.

The Nutrition section will require you to complete the following action points;

  1. Complete the chosen nutrition course that has been prioritised by yourself and the coach ~ START

  2. Undergo your own nutritional performance journey over 10-12 weeks, apply the systems you are taught to manage your own body composition using the right tracking tools

  3. Complete 1 case study with a client and take them through a nutritional protocol that will help them to fine tune their body composition, wellbeing, mental health & performance

  4. Show your ability to understand nutrition, its applications and how to manage clients through dieting strategies ~ assessment held by coach
